Set up Shipping, delivery countries, and local pickup

How to create shipping rates, offer local pickup at your business, choose delivery countries, and fulfill orders.

On this page

If you sell physical products, Sales → Shipping brings two things together in one place: the Settings tab (where you set how much shipping costs, which countries you deliver to, and where customers can pick up in person) and the Orders tab (where you pack orders and send tracking numbers to buyers).

Create shipping options in Sales → Shipping → Settings (flat rate, free shipping, or free shipping over a threshold)

The shipping options you set up in Sales → Shipping → Settings apply across all physical products on your site and are the choices buyers pick from at checkout.

Click Add under Shipping options, choose the Ship type, and fill in:

  1. Name: How your customer will see it at checkout, for example Standard (3–5 days) or Express shipping.
  2. Cost: Enter the flat shipping rate, or leave it at 0 if you want that shipping option to always be Free.
  3. Free over (optional): If you want to charge for shipping on smaller purchases but make it free on larger orders, enter the minimum threshold here (for example, $999). Whenever a customer’s order reaches or exceeds that amount, this rate automatically drops to $0 at checkout.

You can temporarily enable or disable any rate using its toggle (Offer it at checkout / Stop offering it) without deleting it.

Offer “Local pickup” at your business with address and instructions for the customer

If you have a shop, studio, or pickup spot and want to let customers collect their order in person without paying for a carrier:

  1. In Sales → Shipping → Settings, click Add under Shipping options.
  2. Under Shipping type, select Pickup.
  3. Enter a clear Name (for example, Local pickup or Pick up at the studio).
  4. In the Pickup location field, write your street address, suite or unit number, and opening hours.

This address is essential: when you have the package ready and click Ready for pickup, véltica automatically emails your customer with that exact address and schedule so they know where and when to come by.

Choose the countries you ship to (allowed address filter at checkout)

To prevent someone outside your delivery area from buying a physical product you cannot ship to them, go to the Countries you ship to card inside Sales → Shipping → Settings:

  • Use the Add country button to add only the countries where you deliver.
  • Remove any country you do not ship to.

At Stripe checkout, the shipping address form will only accept addresses in the countries on this list.

Manage unfulfilled orders in Sales → Shipping → Orders and restock automatically on refund

Every time someone buys a physical product, the order lands in Sales → Shipping → Orders (and adds to the To ship counter on your dashboard home). Clicking an order lets you print its Packing slip and move its status forward depending on the delivery method the customer chose:

If the order is for… Fulfillment steps on the order page What email the buyer receives
Shipping by carrier 1. Pack the order and click Mark as shipped.
2. Pick the Carrier (or Other), enter the Tracking number and Tracking link, and leave Email the buyer checked.
3. Once it arrives, click Mark as delivered.
An “on its way” email with the carrier name, tracking number, and a Track package button.
Local pickup 1. Once the package is ready at the counter, click Ready for pickup.
2. When the customer collects it, click Mark as picked up.
A “ready for pickup” email with your business address and opening hours from Settings.

If you make a mistake when updating an order’s status, open More actions → Correct status to move it back to the previous step without sending duplicate emails to the buyer.

Finally, in Sales → Shipping → Settings, under the Stock card, you have the Restock on refund toggle: when turned on, if you refund an order in full, the units of that product (or variant) are automatically added back to your available stock.
