When someone buys an offer or pays for a booking on your site, the money does not sit in véltica waiting for you to ask us for a payout: it goes straight into your own Stripe account, in your name, and from there Stripe transfers it to your bank account.
Which plans include online payments (Pro and Business) and how transaction fees work by plan
You can create, edit, and design all your offers for free on any plan. To connect a Stripe account and take online payments, you need an active Pro or Business plan.
Two fees apply to every card sale:
- The véltica fee per sale, which goes down as you move up a plan (lower on Pro than on Starter, and even lower on Business).
- Stripe’s processing fee, which is the standard rate Stripe charges in your country to process card or local payment methods.
If you ever decide to disconnect Stripe or cancel your plan in the future, your Stripe account remains 100% yours: its balance, transaction history, and all receipts stay untouched in Stripe.
Complete the Stripe Connect signup from Settings → Stripe
To link your account, follow these steps:
- In the dashboard sidebar, go to Settings → Stripe (you can also start this from the Price or Review step when creating an offer).
- Click Connect with Stripe.
- Stripe’s official onboarding wizard will open. If you already have a Stripe account, you can sign in with your email; if you do not have one yet, you can create it right there in a few minutes.
- Fill in the details Stripe asks for: legal or personal information, tax address, and the bank account (
IBAN, routing/account number, orCLABEdepending on your country) where you want your payouts deposited. - When you finish, you will automatically return to Settings → Stripe and your account status will update on its own.
Stripe account statuses: Not connected, Setup pending, Awaiting review (Restricted), and Connected (Ready)
In Settings → Stripe (and on the main Settings index), you can always see where your account stands:
| Status in véltica | What it means | What you need to do |
|---|---|---|
| Not connected | You have not linked a Stripe account to this project yet. | You can keep creating offers as drafts. Click Connect with Stripe whenever you are ready to turn on payments. |
| Setup pending | You started signing up on Stripe, but left before completing all required steps. | Click Continue setup to pick up the form right where you left off. |
| Awaiting review (Restricted) | You submitted your details, but Stripe is verifying your information or needs an extra requirement before enabling payments or payouts. | This usually resolves automatically within a few minutes. If Stripe needs a document from you, a notice will appear on the same screen. |
| Connected (Ready) | Your account is verified and ready to take payments and transfer funds to your bank. | You can now switch your paid offers and bookable services to Public / Published. |
What to do if Stripe asks for additional verification documents
To comply with financial regulations, Stripe may ask you to confirm a detail even after your account is already running (for example, uploading a photo of your government ID, a proof of address, or verifying tax details once you reach a certain sales volume).
When this happens, you never have to guess where to look:
- You will see a prominent notice in Settings → Stripe under the heading Stripe needs something from you, showing how many pending items there are.
- Click Resolve: a secure window embedded right inside the véltica dashboard will open so you can upload the document or fill in the missing detail without leaving your workspace.
Set up automatic taxes (Stripe Tax) and bank details from your connected account
Inside Settings → Stripe, once your account is connected, you have two additional controls:
- Taxes (
Stripe Tax): If your business needs to break down or add taxes (such as VAT, GST, or Sales Tax) based on where the buyer is located, go to the Taxes card and click Set up taxes. From the embedded view you can set your head office address, add the countries or states where you hold an active tax registration, and choose whether your prices already include tax or if tax is added at checkout. Once configured, turn on the Collect taxes at checkout toggle. - Your account details and bank account: Under Your account details you will see your account country, currency, and whether Transfers to your bank are
Active. If you need to change the bank account where your payouts land or update your legal business details with Stripe, click Business details, Bank account, or Open Stripe dashboard.
