The véltica Blog is built so you can write news, guides, or stories about your business as naturally as writing in a notebook—without touching your site’s design every time you publish a post.
How the Blog works in véltica (from Website → Blog in the dashboard or the Blog icon in the editor)
You can manage and write your posts from two places:
- In the dashboard: go to Website → Blog. There you have the complete list of your posts, their status (Draft, Scheduled, or Published), a search bar to filter by title, address, or category, and the New post button.
- In the editor: click the Blog icon in the left toolbar. From there you can create new posts, open the editor for any existing post, or drag blog blocks straight onto your pages.
When you create your first post or insert a blog section, véltica automatically enables your blog index page (/blog) and the reading template for each post (/blog/post-address).
Write a new post: title, excerpt, cover image (with alt text), and rich content
Clicking New post opens the post editor, split into the writing area and the post settings:
- Post title: the main headline of your article. Its Address (
slug) is generated automatically from the title, and you can edit it if you want a shorter URL. - Excerpt: a subtitle or short summary. This text appears on blog list cards and when you share the link on social media.
- Cover and cover description: click Add cover to pick a photo from your uploads, upload a new one, or search the free stock gallery. Fill in Cover description (alt text) to describe the image for Google and screen readers.
- Article body: start typing directly, or press
/on any empty line to open the rich block menu:- Text: Plain text, Heading 1, Heading 2, Heading 3, List, Numbered list, Quote, Callout (highlighted notice), Code, and Divider.
- Media: Image (aligned To the left, Centered, or Full width) and Video (by pasting a YouTube or Vimeo link).
- Sale: Button (
CTA) to insert an action button or link directly to an offer or service from your catalog right in the middle of the article.
Post statuses: save as Draft, Publish right away, or Schedule a publish date and time
While you write, your changes are saved automatically. A post can be in one of three statuses:
| Status | How to set it | Who can see it |
|---|---|---|
| Draft | The initial status when created, or when you click Move to draft. | Only you and your team in the dashboard. It doesn’t appear on your site or in search engines. |
| Published | Click Publish with the publish date set to When published (or a past date). | Any visitor to your site, starting that very second. |
| Scheduled | Pick a future day and a Publish time under Publish date, then click Schedule. | Nobody yet. The post shows Goes live on its own that day, at that time, and becomes public automatically when the moment arrives. |
Note on AI-created posts: if the AI assistant prepared starter posts when generating your site, you’ll see the To complete badge. Replace the placeholder text with your own content before publishing them.
Why published posts go live without republishing the whole site
In véltica, your page design and your blog content travel on separate tracks on purpose:
- The site editor waits for you to click Publish so your layout experiments, color tests, or half-built sections don’t go live before you’re ready.
- The Blog, on the other hand, is served live from the server as soon as your site is online.
That means whenever you click Publish—or save changes to an already published post—in Website → Blog, the article shows up right away on /blog, in the blog blocks on your home page, and at its own address, without opening the editor or republishing the entire site.
