On this page
- Insert a form from Insert → Forms or using a Contact section

- Mark fields as required, edit placeholders, and customize the submit message
- Add the consent checkbox (“Send me updates”) to subscribe contacts to your marketing
Forms in véltica let you receive inquiries, quote requests, or newsletter sign-ups directly on your website without setting up mail servers or external tools. Every time a visitor submits a form, their message is saved right away in Website → Forms, and their details automatically create or update their profile in Contacts.
Insert a form from Insert → Forms or using a Contact section
You have two ways to place a form on any page of your site:
- Add a complete ready-made section: click Templates in the left sidebar of the editor, open the Contact category, and pick the layout that best fits your page (for example, a form paired with your phone numbers, opening hours, social links, or frequently asked questions).
- Insert a standalone form block inside an existing section:
- Open the Insert (
+) panel in the left toolbar of the editor. - Scroll to the Forms category, pick the visual variant you prefer, and drag it into the container or column where you want to show it.
- Open the Insert (
When you select it on the canvas, the right inspector panel displays the Form and Inbox tabs, where you control both its fields and where messages go:
- Form title: this name identifies the form inside Website → Forms so you know which part of your site someone wrote from (for example,
General contactorEvent quote). If you don’t want that heading shown on the page itself, turn on Hide the heading on the page. - Tags: assign one or more tags (such as
LeadorWeb) to organize your dashboard inbox. If you have Omnisend connected, these tags travel along with the contact too. - Notify by email: in addition to saving every message in your dashboard, véltica emails the project owner and any extra addresses you add under Also send to.
Add, reorder, and configure fields in the inspector (Text, Email, Phone, Textarea, Select dropdown, Checkbox / Radio)
To tailor the form’s questions to what you need to ask your customers:
- Click the Form block on the canvas to open its settings in the right inspector.
- In the Fields list, you can edit existing fields, reorder them with the Move up and Move down arrows, or click Add a field to create a new one.
- Click any field to open Edit the field and pick its Field type:
| Field type | What it’s for | When to use it |
|---|---|---|
Text (Text input) |
Short single-line answer. | Full name, company, city, or message subject. |
Automatically validates that the visitor enters an address in user@domain.com format. |
Essential so you can reply to the sender and link the submission to their profile in Contacts. | |
| Phone | Input formatted for phone or WhatsApp numbers. | Requests where you prefer to call or message the customer. |
Textarea (Long area) |
Multi-line box for longer answers. | Comments, project details, or open-ended questions. |
Select (Dropdown) |
Dropdown menu where the visitor picks one option from a list. | Choosing a service of interest, budget range, or location when you have more than four options. |
| Checkbox / Radio | Single-choice (Radio) or multiple-choice (Checkbox) options visible right on the form. |
Picking a preferred time slot (Morning / Afternoon) or checking several services at once. |
Mark fields as required, edit placeholders, and customize the submit message
Inside each field’s settings and the main form block, you can fine-tune the experience for whoever writes to you:
- Required fields (
Required): turn on the Required toggle for details you can’t do without (such as email and name). If a visitor tries to submit the form leaving them blank, the browser highlights which field needs to be filled in. - Label and helper text (
Placeholder):- The Label is the title shown above the field (for example,
Your email address). - The Placeholder appears in soft text inside the box before the visitor types (for example,
name@company.comorTell us about your project…).
- The Label is the title shown above the field (for example,
- Submit button and message on submit:
- Change the text on the Submit button (for example, from Send to Request a quote or Subscribe).
- Customize the Message on submit (Success message), which is the confirmation notice the visitor sees on screen right after sending their details (for example: “Thanks! We got your message and will get back to you within 24 hours.”).
Add the consent checkbox (“Send me updates”) to subscribe contacts to your marketing
When someone fills in a contact form to ask a specific question, that doesn’t automatically mean they asked to receive your promotional newsletter. To help you follow privacy and email marketing best practices, véltica forms include a dedicated Consent checkbox:
- Select your form in the editor and go to the Consent checkbox section in the right inspector.
- Click Add a checkbox to display an opt-in option at the bottom of the form with text like “I want to receive news and updates by email” (you can edit this text freely).
- How it works is straightforward:
- If the visitor submits the form without checking the box (or if your form has no consent checkbox): the message arrives as usual in your Website → Forms inbox and the person is saved in Contacts so you can answer their inquiry, but they are not subscribed to your marketing campaigns.
- If the visitor checks the consent box (or if it’s a dedicated newsletter sign-up form): the contact is recorded with active marketing consent, ready to receive your campaigns in tools like Omnisend.
