Buy and manage a domain directly in véltica

If you do not have a custom domain yet, you can search for and buy one directly inside véltica. The main advantage is that you do not have to configure anything technical: we register it in your name, set up the DNS, and activate its HTTPS certificate automatically.

Find and register a new domain from the dashboard (User menu → Domains or Settings → Domain)

You can search for and register a domain from Settings → Domain inside your project (clicking Find a new one if you were in another view) or check the domains you already own under User menu → Domains:

1. Type the name you want for your business into the search bar (for example, yourbusiness) and click Search.
2. You will immediately see whether the .com extension is Available, along with a list of Extensions available and their annual price in US dollars (USD/yr).
3. If you are on a paid yearly plan: the first year of your domain includes an annual domain credit (you will see Free the first year · covered by your yearly plan or the credit applied). Starting in the second year, it renews at the listed yearly price.
4. Click Buy domain, review the one-year registration summary, and complete the payment.

If a domain appears as Premium domain — it cannot be bought through véltica, the central registry assigned a special market price to that name and it is not sold through véltica’s standard search; you can pick another variation or extension from the list.

Automatically connect a purchased domain to any of your projects

As soon as your purchase goes through, véltica begins registering the domain in your name (Registering the domain…) and, once finished, connects it automatically to the project you bought it from, issuing its SSL certificate without you having to copy or paste any DNS records.

Because domains you buy belong to your account rather than to a single project, you can manage them anytime from User menu → Domains:

• Move it to another site: click Move (or Connect if it was disconnected) to point it to another project on your account. In your other projects, unassigned domains appear under Domains you already own.
• Edit its DNS records (for example, for email): if you set up business email with Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, or another provider, open User menu → Domains, click DNS and transfer ({hostname} settings), and click Add a record to add your MX, TXT, or CNAME subdomain records. The records that keep your site online are protected with the notice Keeps your site online and its certificate working so you cannot delete them by accident.

Included WHOIS privacy and automatic renewal settings

Every domain registered through véltica is registered in your name for an initial one-year term and includes privacy protection so your personal details are not exposed publicly, with the expiration date always visible in your dashboard.

In User menu → Domains, you can choose how to handle each domain’s expiration using the Renew automatically toggle:

On (default)	We charge the annual renewal to your card one month before the domain expires so your site never goes offline by accident. If the charge fails, we notify you so you can update your card or click Renew now.
Off	We send you a reminder before the expiration date (The registration expires on…), but we will not charge your card automatically; you decide whether to click Renew now to add another year or let it expire.

What happens to your domains if you delete a project or cancel your plan

Your domain remains yours for the full year you paid for, regardless of what you do with a project or your membership:

• If you delete a project: the domain is disconnected from that site, but it stays in your account until its renewal date. It will appear in User menu → Domains and under Domains you already own so you can connect it to another project whenever you want.
• If you cancel your subscription or downgrade to the free plan: the domain stays registered in your name under User menu → Domains (publishing a site on a custom domain requires a Pro or Business plan, or you can transfer the domain to another registrar).
• If you schedule your véltica account for deletion: before confirming, we show you Your domains so you can choose for each one whether to Transfer it (we email you the authorization code) or Let it expire without renewing.
