Create a bookable service and charge for bookings online
Create a bookable service in Catalog → Bookable services, take payments when booking, and share its direct link.
On this page
- Create a bookable service from Catalog → Bookable services
- Choose how it is charged: paid in full when booking, deposit, or free / paid on site

- Publish the service and share its direct link (/book/)
When you want a customer to pick a day and time on your calendar and pay for the session in the same step—securing their commitment and cutting down on no-shows—you create a bookable service with online payment.
Create a bookable service from Catalog → Bookable services
Go to Catalog → Bookable services and click New service (you can also go to Catalog → All offers, click New offer, and pick Booking). The service creator will open with an interactive preview on the right that updates as you type:
- Details (
What are they booking?): Enter the service name (for example, First consultation or Physiotherapy session), its description, upload an optional image, and adjust the logo or accent color. - Settings (
Set how it works): Enter how many minutes each appointment lasts, whether capacity is One-to-one (1 person) or Group (up to N people per slot), and whether you want to Send an email reminder before the appointment. - Form: Review the contact fields included automatically and add extra questions if you need information from the customer ahead of time.
- Schedule (
Set up your schedule): Pick the days and hours you are open, add exceptions, and adjust buffers or minimum notice. - Cancellation: Set how many hours beforehand customers can cancel or change the date, and what percentage is refunded.
- Price (
How is it charged?): Choose the payment mode and the amount. - Review: Test how your schedule produces available slots in real time and click Create and publish (or Create service to save it as a draft).
Choose how it is charged: paid in full when booking, deposit, or free / paid on site
In the Price step, you can choose between three payment modes depending on how your business runs:
| Payment mode | How confirmation works | What you need |
|---|---|---|
| Paid when booking | The customer picks their time slot and goes to Stripe checkout to pay 100% of the service. While they finish paying, the slot stays in Held status so nobody else can take it; as soon as Stripe confirms the charge, it moves to Confirmed. | Pro or Business plan and a connected Stripe account in Settings → Stripe. |
| A deposit is left | The customer pays part of the price when booking to lock in their spot and pays the rest when they arrive for the appointment. | Pro or Business plan and a connected Stripe account. |
| Free or paid on site | Nothing is charged online; the booking is Confirmed right away as soon as the customer submits their details. | Available on all plans (including the free plan) without connecting Stripe. |
If a customer starts a booking with online payment but closes the tab without paying, the temporary hold expires automatically after a few minutes and that slot opens back up on your schedule without counting as a cancellation in your analytics.
Set up the appointment format: in-person (with address), online (with video call link), or at the customer’s address
So your customer knows exactly where and how the session will take place before and after booking, you can spell everything out in the service settings:
- In-person appointment at your location or practice: Include your address and directions in the service Description and make sure your address is filled in under Settings → Business information, as well as your contact email and phone in the Contact tab of the service page.
- Online appointment (video call): Mention the platform (Zoom, Google Meet, Teams) and how they will receive the link in the description, or add a question in the Form step to confirm their username or preference.
- At the customer’s address (home visit): In the Form step, click Add another question and add a required Short text or Long text field so the customer enters the exact address you should visit.
Publish the service and share its direct link (/book/)
For the public link to work, make sure of two things: that the service is in Public / Published status and that your website has been published at least once from the editor.
Once published, you have three ways to share it with your customers:
- Direct booking link (
/book/<service-name>): On the service’s detail page (or from the options menu in Catalog → Bookable services), click Copy link in the Share & booking link card. Ideal for sending over WhatsApp or placing in your Instagram bio. - Public index page of all your bookings (
/bookings): In Catalog → Bookable services, open Page settings (Public page) and turn on Publish the page. It lists all your active bookable services so the customer can pick which one to book. - Buttons and sections on your website: From the Editor, any button or catalog block can link directly to your bookable service.
