Complete sample items created by the AI
How to identify, hide, or show as “Coming soon” the sample services, products, bookings, and blog posts the AI started for your site.
On this page
When you create a site or a page with the AI Assistant—or when you ask the dashboard Assistant to draft an offer—véltica generates sample services, bookings, products, or blog posts so your page layout does not look empty.
To prevent a visitor from booking a time slot that is not actually yours or buying an item at a price suggested by the AI, all of those items start in the To complete status.
What pending content notices look like in the dashboard and the editor
An item marked To complete already has a name, a suggested photo, and a summary, but it is still waiting for you to confirm your real details (price, downloadable file, stock, booking hours, or post body).
You will spot them in three places:
- On the dashboard Home screen: inside the First steps card, you will see the Complete your site reminder showing how many bookings, services, products, or blog posts the AI started, along with a Complete the first one button to jump right in.
- On the editor canvas: cards or sections connected to those items display the To complete badge (and when you open the editor, a notice tells you how many items on that page still need completing). Clicking the badge on the canvas opens a shortcut to complete them in the dashboard.
- When clicking Publish in the editor: if you still have pending items, the publish menu tells you how many items are not published on your site so you know what will and will not appear online.
How to choose whether they show as “Coming soon” or stay hidden (Settings → Site settings)
You decide what happens on your published site while you finish setting up those sample items. Go to Settings → Site settings and find the What still needs completing section, where you will see the Show as “Coming soon” toggle:
| Toggle state | What visitors see on your published site | When to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Off (default) | Pending items do not appear on your public site. If an entire section only contains items marked To complete, that section is hidden automatically until you complete and publish at least one. | You want to launch your site right away showing only what is 100% finished and ready to sell or read. |
| On (Show as “Coming soon”) | Items appear on your site with their photo and name, without a price or payment button. Clicking them shows a notice that they are coming soon, so the page never looks half-built. | You want your page to look full today and preview what you will offer while you finish connecting Stripe or setting your final prices. |
If you change this toggle in Settings → Site settings, remember to publish your site again from the editor for the change to take effect online.
Complete and publish services, products, and blog posts generated with your site
To remove the To complete badge and put an item live, review its record and publish it:
-
For services, physical products, or digital products:
- Go to Catalogue → All offers (or click the To complete label directly on the editor canvas).
- Open the item with the To complete badge. The setup wizard will open with a note reminding you that the AI started it with sample details.
- Review each step: confirm or replace the price suggested by the AI, upload the file if it is a digital product, adjust variants or stock if it is a physical product, and check the description.
- On the final step, once your Stripe account is connected (for online paid offers), switch it to Published and save.
-
For bookable services (appointments):
- Go to Catalogue → Scheduled services and open the service marked To complete.
- Pay special attention to the Schedule step: the AI assigns default sample hours, so make sure to set your actual days and hours before opening bookings.
- When you finish the wizard, publish it so your calendar starts accepting appointments.
-
For blog posts:
- Go to Website → Blog and open the post marked To complete.
- You will see that the AI prepared the title, summary (Excerpt), and cover image, while the post body holds placeholder text.
- Replace the body with your own writing (or ask the assistant to write a post on your topic) and click Publish in the top-right corner.
Because the catalog and blog are dynamic, as soon as you publish any of these items in the dashboard they appear automatically on your live site without needing to republish from the editor.
